X10 remote-controlled, on/off switch allows you to turn your Ideal-Lume bias light on and off via a supplied RF remote control. Will not send or receive X10-protocol signals between compatible devices through surge protectors. This device must be plugged directly to house current via wall outlet or extension cord if X10 command send/receive is desired. This switch will operate on its own if plugged into a surge protector.
Smart Strip Current Sensing Switched Outlet Surge Device $30.95

Custom Lutron Spacer Infrared On/Off Switch Module $179.95
This Lutron switch module is specifically designed for control of fluorescent ballasts. It provides reliable infrared on/off control of all Ideal-Lume fluorescent models. Our product interfaces easily with existing Lutron Spacer room lighting control systems or can be used alone. The optional Lutron IR handheld remote can be used or its IR codes can be programmed into learning-type universal remotes. Its IR codes can also be downloaded from www.remotecentral.com by computer programmable remotes such as the Philips Pronto, RTI, Home Theater Master, etc. Our module can be used to control multiple fluorescent fixtures, up to a 6 amp total load. It's designed so that the module's grounded cord is plugged into any grounded power outlet or surge protector. The Ideal-Lume is then plugged into the module's female connector. There is 10 feet of male power cord and 4 feet of female connector cord provided to allow for a wide variety of placement options. Placement options must locate the module for line of sight exposure to IR signals or out of sight usage with IR linking devices by Xantech, Niles, Russound, etc.
